I’m not a pastor, or a pastor’s wife, or an evangelist. I don’t belong to any kind of christian authorities or organisations. I’m a nobody in this world, but definitely a somebody in Christ. A saved sinner, trying not to sin anymore. Trying to pick up my cross every day, with my husband (who’s a newborn again Christian) and follow the lord.
I’m not rich, nor Am i poor. I have a fair bit of debts that still need to be paid and right now, this very second, I don’t even have a job. I’ve got bills to be paid every month and many other family responsibilities bla bla that need to be met every month.
I’m still a failure in many parts of my life.
That’s not going to stop me from clinging onto the lord and wait patiently for him to fulfil his promises in our life.
Simply because i have tasted how good the lord is and have experienced many of his miracles in my own life. I’m a living testimony myself, as a proof, that the lord Jesus performs miracles in the lives of those who truly repent and pick up their cross to follow him every day.
So anyways, let me get to the point of this post. I don’t know who you are, what has happened in your life so far and where you’re at right now. But, all i know is that if you’re reading this post, the lord is speaking to you right now.
It’s about time you stop being too busy for god. Start off with these 3 things and see his powerful right hand take over your life.
NO 1: Close the door, kneel down and truly repent.
You haven’t done anything bad huh? What about that gossip you engaged yourself with about someone else? What about the things you watched that you shouldn’t have? What about the words that came out of your mouth when you were angry? What about the time you got so angry at a public servant (waiter, bus driver, cashier, etc) when you could have simply been kind and patient? These are just a few examples to say that there is no big sin or small sin with god.
“If we say that we have no sins, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8)
“If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:10)
So who you trying to call a liar? It’s either you admit you’re a sinner even right now, or you’re calling God a liar!
As Christians who’re trying (because it will always be trying) to fight the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6: 12), it’s our duty to deny ourselves, pick up the cross daily and follow the lord (Luke 9:23).
Picking up the cross daily has everything in it. The temptations and cares of this world you face every day and your effort to brush them all away and crush Satan under your feet (Romans 16:20).
Hold onto the lord and learn to rebuke the devil. Repent daily of every sin that you can think of and ask the lord to wash you with his holy blood every single day.
